Frequently
Asked Questions
Q.
Do I Need A Dealer License?
A. No,
We are a licensed motor vehicle dealer
in the state of Georgia, and we do
all of the purchasing on your behalf.
We do charge a $400 flat service fee
to handle the purchasing and paperwork
for you.
Q.
How Much Will It Cost?
A. You
set the price. Place a bid up to the
amount you are willing to pay for
a vehicle. Keep in mind that your
final buying price will be your winning
bid plus any auction fees and our
brokerage fee. Auction fees can be
anywhere from $100 - $300, depending
on the final bid price. Our brokerage
fee is a flat $400 charge. There is
also the cost of transportation if
you intend to have the car delivered
to your location. It is important
to know all of the fees invloved so
that you can bid accordingly.
Q.
Does the vehicle start and drive?
A. Unfortunately, we don't
always know the operational status of the vehicle.
If we have been able to verify this, we will state it in the listing.
If it is not mentioned, then you should assume that the vehicle does not start.
Q.
Can I drive the car home?
A. In
most cases, no. Most of the cars at
the insurance auctions have salvage
certificates that will require repair
and inspections before they can be
driven on the public roads. In some
cases, the damage is very light and
the cars are road worthy.
Q.
Do you provide repair estimates?
A. Sorry,
we cannot provide repair estimates for any of these vehicles.
For certain vehicles in our inventory, we can provide a list
of parts estimates from local aftermarket parts dealers. The amount
of labor involved for repairs will fluctuate a great deal from one
body shop to another, so it is best to consult with your local body shop.
Q.
How Much Time Do I Have To Pay?
A. 10%
is due immediately before we can represent
you at the Salvage Auction. If you
win, the balance is due within 48hrs. There will be a $25 late fee for each day after the 48 hour period.
Q.
Can I Pay by Credit Card?
A. You
can use your credit card for the deposit only.
The balance must be paid using secure funds. Before
using a credit card you will need to contact us for an authorization form.
We will keep this on file so that you will not need to complete it for each purchase.
Q.
How Much Time Do I Have To Pick Up The Car?
A. You have 10 days
from the time the vehicle is paid for to pick up the vehicle. After 10 days, storage fees will be assessed at the rate of $15 per day.
Q.
Can You Help With The Shipping?
A. We work with a few
local shippers which can deliver within a 200 mile radius of Atlanta, GA for a reasonable rate. We suggest using
online shipping brokers to get the most competitive rates for transporting your vehicle. A few of our favorites are
Carshippingquote.Com and UShip.Com.
For a general idea of prices to your region of the US, please see our shipping map. International customers - please contact us for a custom quote to the nearest port in your country.
Q.
Do You Have Any Information as to the Details of the Accident? How Long Ago was it Totaled?
A. The insurance
company provides no information on the details of how or when the vehicle was damaged. The vehicles are sold as-is in the condition
you see in the photos.
Q.
Is There Any Special Paperwork Involved?
A. Most
of the cars are sold with a Salvage
Certificate. You will receive a bill
of sale and this certificate as proof
of ownership. You will need to get
a salvage inspection in your state
before being issued a title. The title
in most states will be branded Salvage
and/or Rebuilt, but can then be registered
like any other vehicle.
